Pastoral Support at Great Meols

The 'Pastoral Support' pages of our website provide parents and carers with a range of information and resources to support all children in accessing their education whatever their individual circumstances and needs. We provide resources to support conditions relating to mental health and well-being, character and values, learning differences like dyslexia and resources to support looked-after children.

At Great Meols, we believe that a child's welfare and learning needs must be met to ensure full access to education. Please contact the school if you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's pastoral needs.

Whilst all staff have a responsibility to promote the mental health and wellbeing of pupils, staff with a specific, relevant remit include:

  • Mr Brown (Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead)

  • Mr Parker (Deputy Headteacher, Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and Mental Health and Wellbeing Senior Leader)

  • Mrs Ainslie (Assistant Headteacher, Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and Mental Health and Wellbeing Senior Leader and SENDCO)

  • Miss Leeson (PSHE Leader)

  • Mrs Smith (Pastoral Lunch Club Leader)

  • Mrs Hodgson (Pastoral Lunch Club Leader)
