Drama and acting are part of our English curriculum and the children thoroughly enjoy performing in front of their class, the whole school, parents and wider community, at every opportunity!
All classes perform a Class Assembly each year for parents to share what the children have been learning. The Year 5 children perform a fantastic ‘Great Exhibition’ for their grandparents at the end of their Victorians topic. Key Stage 1 children perform a nativity at Christmas and the Key Stage 2 children a formal Christmas Service at the local church.
We are very keen to provide the children with a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities as part of our extended provision, which reflects the various interests of the children.
Drama club runs for Y6 children throughout the year and usually has around 45+ members. At the end of the summer term they join with the Choir Club to perform an amazing production written and produced by one of our staff, with a live band to accompany them.
